Every parent knows that the most important thing in life is his children. From the first time you hold your newborn in your arms you know there will never be anything in life as valuable as this little seven-pound treasure. Our children are a part of us and we do everything within our power to keep them safe as they grow to be independent adults.

Then before we know it our five year old ball of fire who had us constantly on our toes is graduating high school. We never think when we give birth to our little baby that we will turn around one day and they will be 18 and graduating high school. But it happens all too quickly and then we find ourselves at home by ourselves with children that don't need us to take care of them anymore.

I'll tell you what. Staying at home with nobody to take care of and play with drives most everybody nuts. First thought about how to help this situation is to go back to work. Not easy when you have not been in the workforce for at least 18 years and your resume is a real dog. If you do get an interview, you will find that every single applicant is a couple of decades younger than you with a sexy up-to-date resume in hand.

It's hard for anyone to find a job who has been out of the marketplace for so long, but in today's economy it's well nigh impossible. The answer does not lie in staying home doing nothing and heading for the therapist's couch every Wednesday. You need to do something valuable with your time and talents at least until your significant other retires and you can travel to exotic destinations together like you always wanted to do. Now, you have the ability to satisfy all your needs.

With the new software and technology any of us can start our own successful online business. We don't need work experience or a degree to do it. Any of us can help contribute income by working at home using all the same skills it took to raise our children: determination, patience, and hard work.

Raising our kids was a wonderful experience but they are gone now. Starting a business online allows us to put our talents to good use to earn an income and satisfy our souls.
